We built Collegator because the college process felt like a dozen different tools duct-taped together: a spreadsheet for the college list, sticky notes for deadlines, a random essay-editing app, and no good way to find a mentor who actually knows what they're doing.

Is the free trial actually free?+
Yes. The whole trial is free and you won't be charged until it ends — every core tool is included, and The Collegator's coaching tools (essays, interviews, resume) turn on with a paid membership. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Will the essay coach write my essay for me?+
No, and it never will. It only asks guiding questions and flags specific things to reconsider. Admissions officers can tell when an essay isn't in the student's real voice, and that's the one thing we won't compromise on.
Who are the mentors (consultants and tutors) in the marketplace?+
Every mentor is a current college student, or a high school graduate within the past five years, and every application is reviewed by our team before they appear in the marketplace.
Is my data safe?+
Your profile, essays, and activity data are private to your account. We don't sell student data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Do you have real data for colleges in my state?+
We add colleges state by state with real, government-sourced numbers: acceptance rates, tuition, test score ranges. We'd rather ship one state with accurate data than every state with estimates. If yours isn't in yet, the rest of your account still works while you wait.
How are my "estimated chances" calculated?+
From each college's real acceptance rate and admitted-student profile (GPA and test-score ranges), compared against your own numbers. It's always shown as a range with the reasons behind it — never a promise. Essays, activities, and recommendations matter too, and no calculator can score those.
How is this different from free college websites?+
Free sites are great for looking things up. Collegator is built for getting it done: one profile that powers your chances at each college, scholarship matches with alerts, a calendar that schedules the work, essay coaching, and real mentors you can book. The mentor marketplace and connected tools are what free lookup sites don't have.
Can I cancel anytime?+
